NJIT’s (New Jersey Institute of Technology) groundbreaking and highly respected Professional Certificate in Creative Placemaking will be conducted in virtual classroom format in Fall, 2020. This 90-hour course of study runs September 10-Dec. 21.
Registration is open for the Fall offering of the NJIT Certificate in Creative Placemaking. This 90-hour non-credit course is designed for civic leaders, planners, community and economic development professionals and artists who wish to acquire the skills and practices to shape the character of a place through the infusion of arts and culture. Learn how to be the catalyst that integrates arts and culture with community and economic development. Acquire the skills to identify location-based creative assets as well as define, design, and relate the story of creative places. Explore the use of arts, economic well-being, urban and rural planning and community development as agents of change for an equitable and sustainable community. Learn to identify and effectively communicate with community leaders and stakeholders necessary to effectuate inclusive, smart growth and planning.
The Fall, 2020 course of study, lead by experts in arts, planning and environmental justice, will take place in the virtual classroom.
