Apple iPhone 13 series to gain always-on display functionality

Always-on display (AOD) tech has been around for well over a decade yet Apple has been reluctant to bring this functionality to its smartphones until now. According to a fresh scoop from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman Apple will bring AOD functionality to its next generation of iPhones. The AOD on iPhone is described as “Apple Watch-like always-on mode” that shows useful info like time, date and notifications even when the screen is turned off.
